Hearing his question, my eyes turned quite wide, and I was somewhat feeling astonished because this dickhead was way better at acting than I thought.
Instead of just accepting that Ashoka made it, he was trying to butter me up and trying to show that they didn’t do anything.
But after hearing him, I gave him a glare while asking, “Bastard, what the heck did you both do in the elven nation? Why do you have such items that don’t look average in any way? Tell me, bastard, did you take these from the elven king or something on behalf of me or something?”
Hearing my words, he gave a glare to Ashoka, who was trying his best to not look at the side of him, and spoke: “Master, we didn’t gobble up anything from anyone; these things were more like presents from them, so we had no choice but to accept them!”
Hearing his words, I sighed while speaking: “Creep, just what did you guys do to earn such PRESENTS? Because they didn’t give me anything like this, so I want to know what sorts of efforts you put in to get such rewards!”
Hearing my words, he knew that something was set up, and he was trying his best to not talk about it, but thinking about something, he spoke with a nasty grin: “Master, we did all sorts of efforts; it’s just that Ashoka asked them to provide something like token money for making such a relation between you and them!”
Hearing his words, I glared at Ashoka, who was cursing Otaku for his slippery tongue, and spoke in somewhat of a panic: “Creep, it was you who thought about using this chance to have that lovely pouch, and you were the first one to ask them for it!”
Hearing his words, Otaku’s eyes opened wide while speaking: “Don’t you dare creep. Put everything on my head. It was you who suggested using Master as bait to gobble up their resources in the form of a dowry. You were the one who was simping on Queen while bragging about how close Master and Leo’s sister are!”
Hearing his words, my eyes turned wide because just hearing Otaku’s words, I was now completely sure that these guys used me to gobble up resources, so I gave Ashoka a stare while speaking: “Bastard, to bang that queen, you dared to use me as a decoy. You creep didn’t even try to show me the resources you got from them. Nasty pervert!”
Hearing my words, Ashoka gave me a sighful gaze while speaking: “Well, I can’t deny that the queen was truly a goddess. It’s a shame that elven king is still alive, but whatever, kid. You see, we had no choice; such things were really important, and no one other than elves makes these things, and we saved the cost.
W-we used you and Leo’s sister to gobble up resources, but I think the king knew that we were lying, and he always had a cold look on his face after hearing his words, and whenever we mentioned your name, he had a feeling of revenge in his eyes!”
Hearing his words, I realized the reason why the king was not that nice to me during departure: he must have been worried for his daughter, and these creeps used me to take such things. Damn, I didn’t even know how Leo, that sister-issue child, and his sister would react after hearing this.
But it wasn’t time to worry about others, but rather it was time to take what was taken in my name, and of course I would apologize to her later on, but for now resources were really important, so I gave a serious glare and spoke with forced expressions: ‘You both creeps, show me what you managed to gobble up, and if you have something nice, then in exchange I would let this thing slide by, but if not!’ Shina would be hearing lots of things about the entire mess today, ok?”
Hearing my words, her image started to appear in both of their minds, and their faces turned quite pale while they cursed each other while taking out a few things, and surely everything was way too fancy and looking way too tempting, but I knew neither of the creeps would take out real stuff that easily.
So I gave them a sketchy look while speaking in a sighful tone: “Guess Shina wouldn’t be happy to hear the entire thing, how something this vile happened, how a god and a pesky mortal fell this low to use a mere kid to scam other people in the name of marriage. Well, she surely wouldn’t be that happy, right?”
Hearing my words, they cursed me while taking out a few things that had a great aroma. Seeing them at first glance, neither of them was looking fancy, but the quality was like the difference between paradise and hell.
Seeing such quality, I was feeling like I might have struck the jackpot this time, so I spoke while giving them a sketchy look: “Guess my disciple was even trying to keep good stuff from his own master. Just where did he learn such trickery? To think that my own disciple would do things like this!”
Hearing my words, Otaku started to feel emotional while taking out a few more nice things, while I was clearly enjoying this scene, but I had to put out bait for Ashoka also, and it was pretty troublesome because this nasty fox never took out something nice.
But as we were messing around, we saw that the king guy was reaching near the palace and took a deep breath while still being in a drunken state and started regulating breathing exercises.
Seeing his strange breathing moments, I was feeling somewhat weird, because I was getting goosebumps just being around him, and Ashoka and Otaku had serious expressions on their faces.
Soon a massive aura rushed out of him, and the mana in the surroundings started to get sucked into him, and his condition started to greatly improve.
The person who looked like a beggar a few moments back was now turned into a composed, master-like figure.
